Where Hospitality Meets Healing
Founded by Kenya Phelice Morris · Founder & Lead Strategist
Why We Exist
Hospitality is one of the most demanding industries on earth. Long hours, high guest expectations, chronic understaffing, and a culture that rewards endurance over wellness have created a workforce in quiet crisis.
Leaders are leading on empty. Teams are serving guests they cannot fully serve because no one has served them. The result is burnout, turnover, and a slow collapse of the very culture hospitality was built on.
Dining1on1 exists because this does not have to be the standard. Excellence does not require exhaustion. And sustainable hospitality begins with the people behind it.
"Unserved people cannot serve well."
Leadership Rhythm
Every Dining1on1 engagement is designed to solve a real problem, follow a clear process, and produce measurable outcomes. We meet organizations and leaders where they are — and help them move toward where they need to be.
A structured assessment that takes the temperature of your team culture — revealing what's working, what's eroding, and what's being overlooked. The first step toward informed transformation.
A curated conversation experience that creates space for leaders and teams to speak honestly. Built around the table — where the most important conversations have always happened.
Designed for frontline hospitality employees, this program rebuilds the foundation — restoring dignity, purpose, and the tools needed to serve guests from a place of wholeness.
For managers and directors navigating the weight of leadership in a demanding industry. This program equips leaders with the rhythm, clarity, and emotional intelligence to lead sustainably.
Custom-designed sessions for teams, leadership retreats, conferences, and organizational events. Every workshop is built around your specific context, challenges, and goals.
Private consulting engagements for hospitality leaders who need a trusted advisor in their corner. Strategy, clarity, and accountability — without the noise.
H.O.W.
Every Dining1on1 engagement follows the same foundational methodology — a three-movement process rooted in honoring the whole person, not just fixing the immediate problem.
This is not a quick fix. It is a framework for lasting change — in culture, in leadership, and in the lives of the people doing the work.
We begin by creating space to truly hear — the organization, the leader, the team. Not to immediately diagnose, but to understand. Real solutions are built on real understanding, and understanding requires slowing down long enough to listen well.
What we hear is held carefully, examined honestly, and assessed with both strategic precision and human wisdom. We identify root causes, not just surface symptoms. We separate urgent from important. We find the through-line.
With clarity established, we move toward restoration — rebuilding culture, renewing leaders, and equipping teams with what they need to thrive. Not just to function. To thrive. This is where transformation becomes tangible.
Meet the Founder
Founder & Lead Strategist
With more than 30 years of experience across the full spectrum of the hospitality industry — from front-of-house leadership and food & beverage operations to hotel management and organizational culture — Kenya Phelice Morris has seen what the industry demands of its people. And she has seen, firsthand, what happens when those demands go unmet by the leaders responsible for carrying them.
She has stood in the gap as a manager, as a director, and as a colleague. She has watched talented, dedicated people burn out quietly, leave without warning, and lose themselves inside a culture that rewarded their sacrifice without ever asking how they were doing. She has felt the weight of that herself. And somewhere in the accumulation of those moments, a conviction took root: this is not how it has to be.
Dining1on1 was born from that conviction — and from a deep, faith-rooted belief that every person who chooses to serve others deserves to be served, seen, and sustained in return. Kenya's work is not simply organizational consulting. It is a calling. It is the intersection of professional excellence and human wholeness, built on the truth that unserved people cannot serve well.
She founded Dining1on1 to be the space the industry has long needed — where hospitality culture is not just critiqued, but healed. Where leaders are not just trained, but transformed. And where the people behind every guest experience are finally treated as the most valuable asset they have always been.
